Their relationship deteriorated in 2019 when Karas continually stalled Lipman’s attempts to open up their 100% equity stake to the firm’s salaried partners. The plaintiffs also allege that in June 2016, the 1st defendant signed 172 bills which were falsified and were never sent to the clients and that based on these bills, cheques were drawn on the client account and eventually transferred to the 1st defendant.
